| Kiddie Porn! I couldn't watch!
|
| I am what you may call liberal when it comes to explicit movies, whether it be sexual, racial or whatever, I don’t get offended easily. This film started out good and it captured my interest. I’m sure the story itself is great but half the theatre including myself and my friends walked out only 30 minutes into it. I could handle when the mothers boyfriend shaved the 13 year olds pubic hair, even when the young girl began looking at porn magazines and having orgasms in school and as she babysat, we stayed and gave the movie a chance. Though I cringed and closed my eyes while the married man from next door popped her cherry with his fingers and pulled his hand up from her pants full of blood I stood because I thought, there is a point to showing all of this. Even still when a couple got up in the movie theatre and stormed out yelling “anyone who doesn’t walk out now is indecent and perverted”, I still stood because it is a movie and unfortunately this happens in the real world so I gave the movie a chance. Then they showed a young man from her school rubbing her and squeezing her and it just all became gratuitous kiddie porn. My husband and I looked at each other and looked over at my friends who were either with eyes closed or watching through half closed eyes we new it was time to go. All this happened in the first 30 minutes of this movie. We just couldn’t take it anymore. Maybe there was a great ending, or great story or lesson but it was over shadowed by all of the sexually explicit acts with this beautiful little girl who when she spoke sounded like an 8 year old, sweet and innocent. It broke my heart and hurt my stomach, I couldn’t stay and watch. Half of the theatre left. |

| it was painful to see people who were totally ignorant of parenting skills along with ignorant teachers. Rename this film "No sex education-the Sarah Palin approach and the results". This beautiful child wandering about with no guidance from parents who are obviously led by their own sexual urges, who never bothered to teach their own child anything, but beat up on the girl for not knowing how to react to her own feelings. The only adults in the film were the neighbors awaiting their own child and the young black boy. Add the father's girlfriend and that's it. A testament to the dire need for intelligent sex education in these ignorant United States.. One last item. What the audience chose to laugh at underscored the need to learn some humanity. |
