| This was an awful movie. We couldn't understand a lot of the dialogue, especially from Robert Downey JR. There must have been schills in the audience as these people would laugh at nothing. DO NOT take children to this movie. Very graphic detail about sex acts and tons of swearing. The scenery was spectacular. Too bad, the sound couldn't be turned off (couldn't understand it anyway) and let it have subtitles saying "Now the group is going here because" It could have been a great movie but it misses by a long shot. |

| “TROPIC THUNDER” -- Lightning may strike with a (general) Roar of Approval
|
| [From an advance screening:] One of the main characters in this BEN STILLER comedy (about making a new Vietnam War “film”) says, “The insecurity of you guys is ridiculous!” That pretty well DESCRIBES them. The movie starts out with some very funny fake “trailers” for previous films of the supposed stars (JACK BLACK, etc.). It’s a good intro to the often-inept & self-absorbed people who are starring in the frequently-misguided film-making project. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. insists on pretending to be a BLACK man (which is sporadically funny-- when you can understand his periodically-indistinct words). The actors get accidentally caught up in fighting some REAL-life “bad guys” (tho they don’t realize that until near the end of the reel). This is a RAUNCHY comedy, with language not suited for kids-- &, “Holy ‘Magnolia’!”, some of the best work is done by TOM CRUISE letting it all “hang out” as the boss of a movie studio. The humor is more slapstick than well-written or clever, but, overall, it’s an enjoyable diversion. |

| this movie went on sale last night around 1 in the morning. I logged on @ 1:30 and the movie was already sold out!!!! I think thats ridiculous! I dont think everybody was up on a Sun night @ 1:00 to get these tickets. like I said..this is ridiculous!!! |

| This is without a doubt one of the funniest movies we have seen. My husband saw it before I did and told me and my friends we had to see it. So we did and WOW!! It is perfectly ridiculous! If you love Ben stiller movies, this one is better than all the rest! There are surprises in every corner like Tom Cruise dancing to Apple Bottom Jeans!! WOW!!! CLASSIC can't wait for it to come out on DVD, this one is a keeper! We laughed till tears came down. |

| i really, really, thought that movie had a cast! the collaberation of actors is amazing. TOM CRUISE killed me with his performance, along with the main stars of the movie. its kinda of a gory/comedy. Ben Stiller is genius, and i hope they create more movies that just like that. FUCKIN' hilarious, a knee slapper, this movie is a must see |

All I can do is shake my head at you people who either A. took a child to the movie or B. think we dont know that if its rated R we dont take a freaking kid, see rated R usually means there is going to be language and vulgarity. get a clue! |

| i got my ticket for my 16 year old son for this in fresno ca because we couldent afford anything. when we went to go see it today they told me that they misprinted it and it was the day before. the shitty thing about it was the guy looked at my son in the face and said with a straight face "we cant let you in but we can let you go see the american teenager" when my son looked at the guy my son said"do i look like a god damn girl" so i want to thank film metro for ruining my sons allready ruined birthday and making him feel like crap |
